As a wedding photographer I try to walk around the subjects and find beautiful available light. As I arrived at the church, I captured the beauty of the church using a variety of lenses. Then I devoted a few minutes in photographing authentic moments as the light was coming through the main entrance of the church. This image is one of my favorites from the wedding of Sarah and Ryan at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Rensselaer, NY (http://www.stmaryny.org).
The flower girl was anxiously waiting to see the brie. I noticed the beautiful light coming through the main door and placed the camera at a lower level to create an interesting foreground and background blur. As I consider myself a wedding photojournalist, I always strive to find such moments.
