During the mother – son dance, I tend to look around them and notice other people’s reactions. I walk around the dance floor unobtrusively trying to find the best angle and the most flattering available light for the image. This particular moment is one of my favorites as the father and the sister of the groom hold each other.
From the first part of the wedding day I had realized that the groom’s family had a very strong bond. I was ready to capture their emotions during the significant moments of the day. As a father of two girls, this special bond between the father and the daughter attracted my attention. I was using the Sigma 105mm 1.4 and the Canon 85mm 1.2 to isolate the subject and emphasize the state of emotions.
